What is the worst ?
There are two kinds of dangers you have to get prepaired for:
- There is the proven, natural and expected danger (For example, if you are in an area where hurricanes are frequent, the natural and expected danger will be a hurricane, if you live close to a volcano, the natural, expected danger will be a volcanic eruption, and so forth)
- And of course there is a less likely, unforeseen and unpredictable fear that lies in every person’s mind: The fear that our known world will someday end in a tragic and violent way. The fear lies in everyone, but it’s not the same.
Some of the world’s most famous fears are:
- asteroid impact
- black hole
- alien attack
- death of the universe
- zombie attack
- global flood
- food depletion
- water depletion
- ice age
These are just some of the reasons for the world to end, you probably know some more.
Can we be 100% safe and prepaired ?
For the first category of dangers it is really simple to get prepaired and stay safe, along with the entire family. You will have to learn about the dangers that are close to you, learn about the best ways to act prior, during and right after the disaster strikes and get prepaired with food and water supplies, clean clothes and a disaster survival kit ready and available somewhere in the house where you can reach it with ease.
The second category of dangers isn’t that easy to get prepaired for. Some scientists say that “the world end” isn`t an event that will wipe the whole human population off the face of the planet. They go further and state that almost 10% of the people will stay alive. Of course almost all of the survivors will be the ones that had prepaired prior to the disaster.
If you, along with your family, want to be among the 10% that survive the world end, reading some of the articles on this blog may make you understand that it’s really not that costly to get the basic protection, that could someday save your family’s life.
For starters make a checklist of the things you’ll need to stay alive. Fill the list with food supplies, items to build a shelter, clean clothes, first aid kit and more. Use a small part of your incoming money to buy all of the items on the list, one by one, in time. Don`t forget to spend for the present before spending for the future, so firstly buy everything you would normally get, and get survival items with the remaining cash.
A good tip is to build a suvival kit inside your survival kit. What that actually means is that, after you build your survival kit, with food supplies on shelf, first aid kits, items for shelter and everything else, you’ll see that it may take a lot of space. In case you need to evacuate you house quickly, you’ll notice that you can’t really take everything with you. So build a survival kit that’s easy to carry, that has just the basic things you’ll need to survive until you reach the safe zone.
You may die of old age and not get to see the world end, but it’s always better to be prepaired. Who knows ? Maybe we’ll meet in the survivors camp someday.
